We are the ideal accommodation for backpackers who are arriving in Cairns and looking for work. Living in a share house is perfect for backpackers who work late nights and are able to come home and relax in their own private room for the same price as a dorm bed in a hostel.
TAFE Students & apprentices
As most of our houses are within walking distance of the TAFE College, we are very popular with TAFE students and TAFE apprentices who are on block placements in Cairns, or studying long term. Each room has a study desk and our free meals every night ensures that all students can live as 'cheaply' and comfortably as possible during their studies.
Divers
Cairns is a very popular place to learn to dive or to continue advance dive training. As most divers work voluntary or for little pay, our budget share rooms suit them perfectly as they spend most of their time underwater and simply need a place to store their belongings and crash after a hard days work!
Couples
We are popular with couples because it is often a luxury for a backpacking couple to have their own private bedroom where they can eat tea and toast in bed and relax watching a DVD. We find couples do enjoy living in the share house as often when travelling as a couple they find it more difficult to make friends and the share houses offers them the best of both worlds.
Placement Students
Cairns is very popular with James Cook University Students from Townsville on Placements or at the Cairns Base Hospital (often studying physiotherapy). Each year we cater for a large number of these placement students who find our prices, location and service perfect for their 4-6 week stay in Cairns. Our share house accommodation is very popular to JCU students and we do recommend booking in advance.

Moving to Cairns? Cairns is a popular destination not only for travellers but Australians who are keen to move to tropical paradise. Often it can be very difficult for people relocating to Cairns to find accommodation to 'get them on their feet' until they are able to find their own private home to rent long term, or until they at least become familiar with the areas, find a job etc. We are happy to cater for relocating Australians and offer a range of homes to suit their needs.
